MS Windows: WINs hands DOWn!

The very first poll on Living Like Windows has come to an end. 
We asked our readers, 

LOVE IT OR HATE IT THE FACT IS WE CAN'T REALLY LIVE WITHOUT IT - MS WINDOWS

and the users had the following options to choose from:

yeah! like... for sure.
Guess there are alternatives..
Linux is the future!
Get a Mac - get a life!

The results, aren't really surprising. Since the poll was never version specific, Microsoft Windows won comprehensively garnering 46% of the votes polled. 


There were about 13% of half informed readers who said they've heard of alternatives, never used them.


Linux with all it's scattered distros gave a bit of a fight polling 33% of the votes. But then, likes has always been that for windows all through it's existence, someone who puts up a fight. Just like that seemingly cute and adorable of the two neighbours, who gets the girl's admiring looks but not the girl... Never!


And then there were some die hard fans of the half eaten forbidden fruit, who think life is all about working off an impressive looking Mac. Haven't really got too much to say to this 20% minority except,  "Keep collecting guys. Someone's gotta maintain an artifacts museum! "

The idea sprung up during a chat about how we should write a self help book someday to help people resurrect their lives from weird analogies. And what better analogy for self confessed techies than a widely used Operating System - The Microsoft Windows. Over time, we grew restless and decided that the wait for a publisher to approach us was not worth it and since our work was more of philanthropy than a profitable endeavor, we decided  to start a free for all blog. 


We? Me and Ankit, the brain and hand behind most of the innovative work you are going to be seeing in time. And since it's a story of two imaginary friends who recount their lives's experiences, first hand, you are probably never going to hear from us again. 


Of course, we are greedy souls always on the lookout for the moolah, so you could reach out to us through one of the numerous contact  links that you find scattered here there and everywhere. Yes, we are real people with pretty much real humanly lives and you could know more about the two of us here -
